A small collection of sea glass, collected on my early morning dog walk on the beach. I can’t resist searching for these smooth, jewel like fragments of sea battered glass.
I collect it with a view to using it in future craft projects. It is possible to wire wrap larger shards, or even to drill pieces to use in jewellery. Smaller bits may be used in mosaic work, which I plan to try as a new activity after attending a course perhaps.
I am thinking of encasing some choice pieces of sea glass with freeform beading, to allow them to be used as earrings, pendants or brooches.
But the ideas are the easy bit, it is the execution of the same that is the challenge.
